An Empowering + Fun Summer Reading List

An Empowering + Fun Summer Reading List

Summertime is here which means vacation nation!! With lots of trips in the pipeline there will be lots of downtime for reading. I’ve created a summer reading list to make sure you are equipped with a little empowerment and some fun to add a wrinkle in your brain!

The Myth of the Nice Girl

The Myth of the Nice Girl is great for people {especially women} looking to move up the corporate ladder. I started reading a chapter a day in May and so far it has been a great book. Fran Hauser’s real life experiences are funny, relatable, and candid. An easy and digestible read for those needing a little motivation.

Bite Me

Ally Hilfiger is awesome. I personally met her a few times as one of my sorority sisters Jaime, is her cousin. I never knew she was batting Lyme disease so reading about her struggles in Bite Me has been empowering. She is truly a gem and I highly suggest this book.

Down the Rabbit Hole

Not going to lie, one of my guilty pleasures was watching The Girls Next Door on E! Watching Kendra, Holly and Bridget hang out with Hugh Hefner was so funny and it was a great way to  {mentally} detox from the work day. Can’t wait to dive into Down the Rabbit Hole. I know Holly will offer a candid glimpse into their lives.

Confidence Creator

Miami’s own Heather Monahan was recognized as a Glass Ceiling Award winner and as one of the Most Influential Women in radio in 2017. In 2018, Heather was named the Brand Ambassador for Perry Ellis International’s female brand Rafaella and Thrive Global named her a limit breaking female founder. If that’s not reason enough to pick up her book, how about knowing that Heather resides in Miami and she is a real gem and a new friend of mine!!!

Heather is a #GirlBoss to the extreme and her book, Confidence Creator, will give you the motivation to stand on your feet after any obstacle. A must read for anyone looking into entrepreneurship.

Own the Day, Own Your Life

This is the perfect book to read with your BAE! Aubrey Marcus has created a guide for the everyman and everywoman—packed with pragmatic and effective strategies that empower

Own the Day, Own Your Life an empowering handbook that guides readers to optimize every moment of the day, from waking in the morning, through work and play, until bedtime each night. With small, actionable changes implemented throughout the course of one day, we can feel better, perform more efficiently, and live happier.

From workouts and diet to inbox triage, mindfulness, shower temperature, and sex, this ground-breaking manual provides simple strategies for each element of your day. We can’t wait to dive into this book!

The President is Missing

This book launches next week, but it is available for pre-order. Aren’t you at all intrigued by the fact that this is the first time a U.S. President has collaborated with a novelist to publish a book? The President is Missing will capture intel from President Clinton himself and James Patterson’s writing will only elevate his knowledge to the next level.

I’m excited to read this and am already on the end of my seat!
