The Perfect Shoes to Survive Art Basel and The Holidays in Miami

The Perfect Shoes to Survive Art Basel and The Holidays in Miami

This time of year in Miami means holiday parties, Art Basel exhibitions, and entertaining family and friends at home. It also means we are spending more time on our feet. Looking chic while being comfortable is muy importante!

So this holiday season I partnered with NOVUS Shoes, a Puerto Rican based shoe company to bring you a few outfit ideas for Art Basel and the holiday season! As you know I am from Puerto Rico and my mom and I used to shop at NOVUS when I was growing up. My aunts and cousins absolutely love this store so anytime I visit the Island you know I’ll be picking up a few pairs myself.

I love working with Puerto Rican brands and putting together a few outfits with NOVUS shoes was a great way to showcase my heritage AND help you prepare for the holidays!

ART BASEL SHOES

How perfect are the IDORE Gio shoes for Art Basel?!

I saw these shows at the NOVUS store and I absolutely fell in love with them! I love the geometric pattern and black and white color blocking. You can easily dress these up for a swanky Art Basel event at the Faena Hotel or throw on a pair of white skinny jeans to walk around the convention center. The block heel is SO SO comfy. I could seriously run a marathon in these. But I won’t because I don’t really run marathons – ha!

I also love these leopard print CLEE Wendy Shoes which have the same heel and look fabulous!

HOLIDAY SOIREE SHOES

The color of the season is purple. Jewel tones in general are always a holiday favorite, but there’s something about this purple hue that turns heads.

I wore these IDORE Zuri shoes for a luncheon with the Miami City Ballet and the compliments didn’t stop coming! These shoes are s showstopper and not only is the color incredible, but I was comfortable the entire day filled with meetings and events. They are the perfect shoe for holiday parties or even for a night at the ballet with the Nutcracker!

I dressed mine down with a grey jumpsuit. For my next holiday party I plan on rocking these babies with a gorgeous yellow dress and a little sparkle.

The IDORE shoes also come in a golden yellow and an incredible navy!

ENTERTAINING AT HOME

During the Thanksgiving holiday I rocked these incredible wedges with a simple black linen dress. The result was an Audrey Hepburn inspired look that looked chic while roasting a turkey! Let’s be real, if I’m going to be in the kitchen all day, I want to feel like Doris Day and this look captured the theme.

The wedges are so comfortable that I didn’t take them off until after the guests left the home.

I’m a shoe-aholic and I love shopping at NOVUS because I know the shoes are not only comfortable, but also a chic showstopper for any occasion!

Hope this post inspires a few outfit ideas for the season!
