Brickellista's Favorite Local Miami Happy Hour Hot Spots

Happy Hour is my favorite hour… and to be honest Miami does happy hour right! From waterside cocktails to tacos and margaritas, there are so many options around town to kick back with friends. So today, I’m breaking down my favorite happy hour spots across Brickell, South Beach and Downtown Miami. So many options such little time!

Local Miami Happy Hour Hot Spots

HAPPY HOUR BRICKELL

Marion

If you want to step up your game then Marion is your local hot spot. Only a few short blocks away from Brickell City Centre Marion offers a fun happy hour scene Tuesday through Saturday from 5-7pm. This happy hour has an ample offering of bites and tasty cocktails. My gal Julie and I used to frequent this spot and indulge with their $1 Blue Point Oysters, $5 Goat Cheese Croquettes and $12 Black Truffle Pizzeta. In addition, their wines by the glass are priced perfectly at $5 and they offer $4 brewskis.

SUGAR at the EAST Hotel

My friends don’t call me Queen of the East for no reason! The Tea Room at Sugar has become one of my staple spots in Brickell. And while SUGAR doesn’t offer generous happy hour specials the views make up for the cost. Situated above Brickell City Centre and I love that they offer a robust wines by the glass menu. My pick is the $10 Albariño paired with the Lamb Satay.

Cantina La Viente

On Wednesday’s ladies drink free {MARGARITAS} until 10:00pm. What more do you need to know?! Cantina is tried and true and still going strong with their Wednesday night happy hour. Plus it’s the only late-night happy hour in the area. The best part is they offer a full menu so you can stay and hang all night long.

Bonding

Bonding has been one of my favorite neighborhood spots for years and they recently expanded their selections by adding a yummy happy hour. Available nightly from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Bonding’s happy hour features $5 bites like the Bonding Taco with tempura red snapper, lettuce, and spicy mayo along with $6 signature cocktails and $3 wines by the glass.

DOWNTOWN MIAMI HAPPY HOUR

Seaspice

If you are looking for a swanky alternative to the waterfront American Social happy hour (not knocking it, I love it too!) then check out Seaspice. This spot is often overlooked for happy hour because it is outside of the busy financial district. But if you’re looking to entertain out of town guests or co-workers, then Seaspice is your answer. Plus there is nothing more Miami than enjoying waterside cocktails. Seaspice has a great dinner menu as well, so if you’re looking to impress a lady friend it makes for a great first date spot.

La Estacion at the Brightline Station Food Hall

There is something very Cary Grant and romantic about happy hour at a train station, and if you know anything about me, old Hollywood charm is my weakness. La Estacion is Juvia Group’s answer to swanking up Downtown Miami’s food scene. I nosh on their Shrimp Tempura Brussels Sprouts and truffle Fries while sipping away on their inspired cocktails. Best part is you can ask your Fort Lauderdale friends to join you because they can easily take the Brightline and be toasting by your side in 30 minutes. I am obsessed with the Central fare Food Hall because there is something for everyone and it’s definitely worth checking out.
600 NW 1st Ave, 2nd Floor Miami, FL 33136

Mama Tried

The Downtown Miami scene is taking shape and it’s thanks to spots like Mama Tried. I used to kill happy hour at this spot last year and recently I came back to give it a whirl once again. Their $7 cocktails and $2 snacks are perfect for post work woes. Check out more of my Downtown Miami happy hour spots too!

Black Market

A few weeks ago I stumbled into Black Market to fall in love with the jams. This 5,500-square-foot space offers everything a sports fan could want –  30 TV screens, a pool table, arcade games, and game-day specials. But more important the music is on fire. I rarely dance at happy hours, but give me a few vinos and I’ll shake it like Beyonce. Black Market is one of the newer joints downtown and has a great happy hour filled with professionals looking to escape work. So check their website for current specials and game day calendars.

Brickell Miami Local Suggestions for Happy Hour Hot Spots and Cocktails

HAPPY HOUR SOUTH BEACH

Bodega Taqueria & Tequila

My friend Jess and I have a serious taco obsession and we both happily make the trek to Miami Beach for the $2 happy hour tacos at Bodega. I love it so much that last summer I met my friends on South Beach almost every day at Bodega for happy hour. I should get a medal for loyalty and commitment. So what are the happy hour deets? $2 Tacos, $3 Chips and Guacamole, $5 Tequila Shots, $4 cervesas, and $6 margaritas

Smith & Wollensky

When I’ve had a hectic week at work, I crave ocean breezes… and an Aperol Spritz. Smith & Wollensky is my zen happy hour place when I really just want to escape on a weeknight.  Featuring delicious food and drinks at affordable prices, Smith & Wollensky’s happy hour is exactly what the inner old lady in me loves: views, cruise ships, and a perfectly balanced Aperol Spritz… all while noshing on sliders of course! Get there early (at like 4:45pm) if you want to grab a barstool outside and definitely take a walk around South Pointe park afterwards for the perfect kick off to your weekend.
