Downtown Miami Happy Hour Spots That Are Perfect for Client Vists

Downtown Miami Hot Spots that Are Cool and Loved By Locals

Downtown Miami is going through a major renovation and reinvention so luckily for us, that means an amplification to our local happy hour hot spots thanks to new restaurants and cocktail bars popping up! I’m personally very excited about this transformation. So if you’re like me, out of town clients love to pick your brain about where to go after a long day of meetings.

Have no fear because I have your back! Today I’m sharing my top picks to explore Downtown Miami’s post work-mode… along with an interactive map! You know I love a good interactive map.

Jaguar Sun

I’ve recently been craving Momofoku (NYC based) and UGH the perils of being a Miami-ian (Miami-ite?), and being thousands of miles away from my beloved Momofoku. Enter Jaguar Sun where Carey Hynes, Momofuku and Per Se alum, has created a Thai-marinated braised short rib that’s beyond. The pastas are also incredible, but don’t leave until you try the Green Ghoul cocktail! It’s made with tequila AND Mezcal. Yum.

Lost Boy

This no-nonsense bar is one of my favorite spots to meet friends for a drink. For instance, Penicillin is my cocktail of choice. So if you don’t like scotch this cocktail will turn you around! Trust me. I know things.

NIU Kitchen

I’m obsessed with this tapas-style spot in Downtown. It’s so cozy and intimate. I suggest ordering the Octopus it’s beyond tender. Ask your server once you order which wine will pair with your meal – they have interesting choices and I like to go with their suggestions. So feel free to order a bottle, turn off your phone, and enjoy your company like they do in Spain.

Pollos y Jarras

Often overlooked in Miami due to its sister restaurant Ceviche 105, Pollos y Jarras is one of my favorite restaurants in Miami – hands down. Juan Chipoco brings dishes packed with flavor to Pollos y Jarras and I always ask for extra sauces because I can drink them. For instance, their rice dishes are beyond. So if you’re a little hungover (no judgement) check out the Aguadito de Pollo. It’s like Chicken Soup for the Tequila Soul.

Bloom Skybar

Pawn Broker, the rooftop bar at the Langford recently went through a mini-cation and was renamed to Bloom Skybar. It’s still a sweet spot in Downtown Miami especially for a date night because you can extend the night with a few bar bites that pair impeccably with their cocktails.

Mama Tried

Tried and true, Mama Tried has some of the best cocktails in Downtown Miami. So take a few friends and try the Elvira Hancock Punch. It’s a crowd pleaser.

Meraki Greek Bistro

I’m such a fan of Greek food, in fact, I’ll more than likely leave my comfy couch if a friend suggests Greek for dinner. Truth is, I’m a tzatziki freak and inhale it in a way that makes others uncomfortable. I am who I am. Meraki is a hidden hot spot in the center of downtown in an area known as “The Village.”
