Perricone’s was the first Brickell restaurant I tried in Miami and a place I frequent with friends… especially on Pasta Thursday because big girl loves to eat. It’s disturbing that Perricone’s has also fallen victim to the gentrification of Brickell because the restaurant has been a staple in the neighborhood since 1995. They haven’t announced what’s actually going to happen yet, and Perricone’s has a 5 year lease option on the land.
I was also pretty bummed when Tobacco Road closed it’s doors a few years ago. ESPECIALLY because the developer never built on the land. He just bought Tobacco Road and tore it down. The rest of the shopping center is still in tact.
But back to Perricone’s:
The official closing date is February 15th. I went to the restaurant and asked for an update.
They have plans to re-open in a new location in mid-March at 1700 SW Third Ave – approximately a 13 minute walk from the current location. I suppose this isn’t too bad, but I love the house location in the heart of Brickell.
Anyone else sad about this closure?
Here are a few links so you can read more about the sale.

I’ll continue to update this post as I learn more. In the meantime I’ll see you at Perricone’s for Pasta Thursdays!
