One of my favorite events of the year is just a few days away, and I’m so excited. This 2020 is the 19th annual South Beach Food and Wine Festival. I’ve been a regular at SOBEWFF for a few years now, but I can’t wait to check it out again this year… and of course, take you there! The South Beach Food and Wine Festival is always such a blast. Whether you go every year or going for the first time, there’s always so much to try and explore.
I personally love this tasting event because I’m a tried and tested foodie. I love checking out the hottest chef creations and of course the vino! The SOBEWFF offers the perfect venue for my annual food coma, right in our own home base, Miami FL! If you are a food and wine enthusiast like me, the South Beach Food and Wine Festival is the best place to put your taste buds to the test and explore some of Miami’s best flavors.

#SOBEWFF Events and Parties
With 100+ events happening during the 5-day event, there is so much to choose from. No worries though, below I listed some of the best events (and the ones I’ll be heading to!) So be sure to add these to your list.
Goya Foods’ Grand Tasting Village
For the signature event, I’d go to the Goya Foods’ Grand Tasting Village. It’s Sunday, Feb. 23 and features Grand Tasting Tents and Publix Culinary led by the nightlife and hospitality guru himself David Grutman. Such a fan of Dave he’s really amplifying Miami. Also be sure to check out the various activations on site. Demos for this event are sponsored by Sub-Zero. Tickets range from $191.25 – $275. The event starts at 12:30pm so its perfect for lunch!
The Beach Side BBQ
Mayor of Flavortown & host of Diners, Drive In’s & Dives, Guy Fieri, is hosting the Beach Side BBQ on Saturday, Feb. 22. More than 30 chefs from all over the country will showcase their roasting skills along South Beach. Expect to see and taste a variety of pork, beef, poultry and seafood while strolling down the beach. Tickets are priced at $175 – $225.
Heineken Burger Bash
The Heineken Burger Bash is a popular event at the SOBEWFF. The queen of burgers, Rachael Ray is hosting. The event is taking place on the sand behind the Ritz-Carlton, South Beach Hotel. Can’t wait to dig in to some mouth-watering burgers from chefs from across America. Salivating at work thinking about it! There will also of course be ice cold Heineken and a selection of wine from Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery. The Burger Bash is Friday, Feb 21 at 7:30pm. So it’s a great way to spend the evening with friends. Tickets are available at $250 – $350.
Italian Bites on the Beach
America’s beloved queen of Italian cuisine, and my future bestie, is headed back to the sands of South Beach to kick-off the Festival weekend once again! Giada De Laurentiis will be joined by 30 top chefs to helps guests recreate their favorite Italian moments. Peruse Piedmont, trot through Tuscany, savor Sardinia, canvas Campania, saunter through Sicily without ever having to jump on a plane. Event will be held on Thursday, February 20 from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM and tickets range from $150 – $225.
Wine Spectator’s Best of the Best
I’m planning to cap my night at the SOBEWFF at Fontainebleau Miami Beach with the Wine Spectator’s Best of the Best. This is one of my favorite events not only of the weekend, but of the year. The Fontainebleau Miami Beach gathered 60 of the nation’s top chefs to showcase their gourmet creations matched with the best wines from the country’s best wineries. This event happens on Friday, Feb 21 at 7: 30 to 10:30pm. You can get tickets at $350 – $400.
There are tons of incredible events happening throughout the weekend at South Beach Food & Wine Festival. So I definitely recommend you take a look at their events list and fill in your weekend with a few events that interest you.
