With the Miami humidity it feels like we are walking around in a sauna. This means our pores are always open to soak in things like pollutants. Who wants foundation soaking in your skin? Gross!
Summer calls for a new beauty regimen. And this summer less is more. So I say lead with your skin and ditch the makeup.
I’ve been testing skin products like a bandit, and I’m spilling my summer beauty secrets for perfect dewy glowing skin! I’m also sharing fun colors because summer in Miami would not be complete without color!
For your convenience I linked all of the products, so you can research further and decide which ones to incorporate in your routine.
Summer Beauty Overhaul for Humid Summer Days + Nights
I love Caudalie and their line of skincare. So I use them in my morning routine. I know it sounds counterintuitive to use oil as a cleanser, but trust me here. This is so gentle for your skin especially if you’re wearing waterproof makeup. The Caudalie Cleansing Oil is by far one of my favorite beauty adds for the season. It also gently removes impurities while hydrating your skin.
The formula does not contain mineral oil. So it will not clog pores or leave a greasy residue. The essential oils are also great for your skin with incredible benefits.
Here are the ingredients:
- Sweet Almond Oil: Softens, strengthens, and soothes.
- Grape Seed Oil: Repairs and nourishes with antioxidants.
- Lineolic Acid (Omega 6): Improves the control of skin hydration.
- Sunflower Oil: Dissolves makeup easily.
- Castor Oil: Aids in lash growth.
I love scrubs. I scrub daily. And I know most experts advise against it, but I truly believe that in humid climates scrubbing daily is important. Now I’m not saying use a strong exfoliant every day! There are so many varieties of scrubs so it’s important to pick 3 scrubs to alternate daily.
Add these scrubs to your weekly routine:
A purifying white clay mask with salicylic acid and natural exfoliants. It gently warms skin upon contact and helps draw out impurities, scrub away blackheads, and also improve the look of pores. I use this 3x per month.
This revolutionary duo works together to resurface skin and replenish it with essential vitamin C and peptides. The Vitamin C Resurfacing Crystals gently rejuvenate and revitalize as the Salicylic Activating Gel helps to minimize the appearance of pores, fine lines, and wrinkles. Use once a week and pair with a Vitamin C Serum for an incredible glow.
Hydrated healthy lips are always in style! Formulated using only natural ingredients, Beauty for Real Lip Revival Scrub will exfoliate and hydrate your lips keeping them super smooth and soft. Leaves your lips moisturized like your favorite balm. I use daily!
Summer is the season for serums because they are hydrating and lightweight on your skin. Currently, I am so obsessed with Skin Authority. In fact, this is not sponsored and I am legit obsessed with their products.
This vitamin C serum is unlike any other because it is so concentrated that a little goes a long way. At $99 per bottle, it’s so worth the investment. The technology also incorporates the body’s natural form of Vitamin C combined with antioxidants to help increase skin firmness, tone, and brightness. It also has photo aging protection. I use this daily (with sunscreen) and my skin radiates!
This product has been a real miracle worker for me because I sit in front of my computer for HOURS. So my eyes look tired until I found this product. The Dramatic Eye Lift is an intensive anti-aging treatment specifically designed for the delicate eye contour, which works to smooth the appearance of wrinkles, sagging and discoloration. It also makes the eye are look brighter, younger and more awake. I use this 2x per day.
Summer Hair Hydration
Summer hair means lots of damage and sun exposure. So I always mitigate any breakage with intense repair products.
This hair care collection rebuilds weak hair and damaged hair, while restoring the hair fiber. I use their Masque Thérapiste weekly as an intense conditioning mask. But like I said summer is all about serums and the Kerastase Sérum Thérapiste is the perfect summer product. It’s also a dual-serum that leaves your hair feeling like butter.
With summer beach days and outdoor workouts, the scalp can take a beating. This scalp and hair serum strengthens and grows hair fibers by restoring uniformity and smoothness. I also massage it in prior to blowdrying my hair and it’s like a delicious treat for my scalp.
Humidity makes your hair flat. This spray combats it. In fact, it’s one of my favorite products for summer travels. Because you never know what hair conditions your destination city will give you!

These three items are a must for any beach bag. St. Tropez makes one of the best self-tanners on the market so it’s no surprise they make my list each time. But my new cult favorite is their One Night Only Gloss which makes your legs look like vixens in the night.
A good hand cream is necessary in the summer and Cochine is one of the most decadent products I’ve tried! Their collection of hand creams scream luxury and any time I rub it on, someone asks “what fragrance are you wearing?” It’s just too good!
Summer is a season for fun and kicking back with friends. If you want your skin to radiate from the inside out, pop a packet of Vital Proteins Collagen Beauty in your water. I wrote all about that here.
Make sure your skin is ready to play and always use sunscreen! Add some fun colors to your makeup routine to feel like you’re on vacay even on a work day.
