Best Podcasts to Pass the Time During Self-Isolation and COVID-19 Quarantine

Best Podcasts to Make 2018 a Successful Year

The only wrinkles I love are wrinkles of the brain! For me learning is important and being knowledgeable in various topics makes for a well rounded life. Podcasts are a great way to listen to the news, learn about new genres, and empower goals.  So it’s no surprise that during home quarantine and self-isolation, I’ve been listening to more podcasts than usual.

Usually my mornings are spent with The Daily, Up First, and Cheddar’s Need 2 Know Podcast. And throughout the day I will listen to some empowering Podcasts to keep me motivated as I work from home.

I wanted to share my list with all of you in hopes that it makes your quarantine more manageable.

LOREBest Podcasts to Make 2018 a Successful Year

PODCAST LINK

This Podcast is all about folklore and it’s history. It’s dark. It’s a little gory. But overall it’s a cool breakdown on some of the folklore we’ve all grown up with. For example, why some people believe in things like zombies. Lore has become my new Newtflix & Chill because I’ve run out of TV to watch.

Bonus: this podcast will make you sound super cool {and creepy} at a networking event. Check it out!

Dan Carlin’s Hardcore HistoryBest Podcasts to Make 2018 a Successful Year

PODCAST LINK

History is cool and confusing, but necessary. Dan Carlin breaks down some of history’s forgotten moments in VERY long episodes, most are over three hours. Bless this man for talking so long.  It’s updated sparingly but its a cool Podcast. I found it when I was sick with the flu a few years ago and it certainly made for an easy distraction.

The Ed Mylett Show

PODCAST LINK

I admit I’m a terrible time manager. I can dilly dally with the best of them and if there were a Dilly Dally Award – I’d be the winner.

Ed Mylett hosts a myriad of guests covering topics like calendar blocking, meal prepping, and overcoming smartphone addiction. It’s not a daily listen for me but definitely a good listen when you need a little motivation and perspective. Ed is charming, welcoming, and has great insight on hardships. Perfect for COVID-19 times.
